Project Management
Project management has become a pervasive discipline across all sectors, from construction and engineering to finance, health, government and many others. As projects grow in size and complexity, organisations are becoming more reliant on skilled project leaders to plan, implement and deliver critical projects and systems.
Project Planning involves understanding the fundamentals of a project:
- What business situation is being addressed?
- What do you need to do?
- What will you do?
- How will you do it?
- How will you know you did it?
- How well did you do?
Our innovative approach to managing and leading projects includes all the traditional elements of this discipline as well as an additional focus on the key interdependencies that operate in today’s complex project management and leadership frameworks.
We view projects as dynamic, complex, organic systems, and we study how best to manage their different phases and the risks involved to deliver them on time and within budget and resource constraints.
Our coursework and research programs encourage the development of better governance mechanisms and risk-assessment frameworks through a deeper understanding of the dynamics affecting resource management.
We use multidisciplinary theories and methods to investigate particular phenomena from a holistic viewpoint, so you can apply your project management, leadership and strategic thinking skills across a wide range of sectors and industries.
We believe that to be effective, project managers and leaders need behavioral and motivational skills to manage diverse teams as well as multidisciplinary skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
